Local Church Mass Communion 34 thousand believers in unity A mass communion service is held in Taiwan again. After a hiatus of 6 years, the International Chinese-speaking Blending Conference (ICSBC) has held the event again. On Sunday, Feb. 11, 34,000 believers from 79 nations were blended breaking bread together in communion, embodying the unity of Christ''s Body. The International Chinese-speaking Blending Conference began in 1983 when Chang-shou Li saw the need of Chinese immigrants to America. Taiwan began triennial meetings starting in 2006. This year there were 5 keynote talks and two exhibitions. This year saw a large increase in the number of delegates from African nations welcomed in. To accommodate 5,000 believers from 78 nations local churches opened their homes and encouraged believers to attend the gathering, filling the Nankang Convention Center and MRT station with songs of praise. About 1500 youth were mobilized in various capacities throughout the whole convention. We had several hundred buses, and so many things needed to be done. We had to host 500 delegates from 78 nations. We really needed our service to be united in heart and spirit through all of this. And we believe it''s a truly sweet and glorious picture.
