Asian Church Leaders Gather in Taiwan for Unity Conference
Trumpets sounded over Sun Moon Lake in central Taiwan as more than 80 pastors and leaders from various nations across Asia met September 21–24 for the “Kingdom Unity: Fathers Walking Together” conference. Reverend Chou Shen-Chu, welcomed participants who crossed languages and cultures to seek unity among Asian churches. Leaders from different nations gathered at Jesus Church, Sun Moon Lake, to hear about Taiwan’s decades-long journey towards church unity —built on returning to the Father’s heart. Over 200 pastors and elders from across Taiwan joined the gathering, including Pastor Lawrence Khong from Singapore, who introduced the cell-church model to Taiwan over 20 years ago. Together, participants prayed for Southeast Asian nations, shared testimonies of God’s work, and blessed one another. Coinciding with Rosh Hashanah, the assembly celebrated with song and dance as indigenous believers from Taiwan and Southeast Asia shared blessings, worshiped together, and prayed for unity and revival among all peoples. With eyes on the Father’s heart, Asian churches united across generations and nations to declare to the world: We are one. GOOD TV News Center — Nantou
